To get or apply a job what kind of criteria most people will look at?
I think most of us will firstly see the salary. Am I right? Not too choosy but as you all know nowadays....... (answer by your own), but all depend on you.
Below I like to share a article regarding youths and jobs. Happy reading!!!
Aspiring entrepreneurs were yesterday reminded that
Tekun and Mara are giving out loans of up to RM10,000 to help them kick
off their enterprise, next year.
Assistant Resource Development
and Information Technology Minister Datuk Jainab Ahmad Ayid said during
the first convocation ceremony for trainees at the Stella Beauty Salon
and SPA at Le Meridien yesterday that those keen on starting a business
are encouraged to apply for the loans.
She urged those who are successful in obtaining the loans to make timely payments to avoid being blacklisted.
“Being blacklisted will become a problem for you,” she told the graduates attending the ceremony.
In her speech, Jainab also commended five of the graduates for having started their own business.
“I am proud of this,” she told the graduates.
She
also commended the trainer, Stella Beauty Salon and Spa and the
graduates who have found jobs after completing their training.
She
said the fact that the graduates have been employed after their
training is testimony that there are plenty of jobs available for youths
in Sabah and that they could easily secure jobs as long as they are not
choosy.
On the beauty, hair and spa industries, Jainab said
these could become lucrative careers and those skilled could venture
into the film industry, medical spa and even eco-tourism spa, among
others.
On another matter, Jainab also urged youths in Sabah who
are keen on working outside the state to register with the Jobs Centre
here.
She said employers who registered their vacant positions at
the centre were vetted for their authenticity to safeguard the interest
of youths applying for the positions.
“Do go through the proper
channels. Don’t risk becoming a drug mule or get deceived by the sweet
promises of agents,” she advised.
She said many youths from Sabah were employed by the hospitality industry in West Malaysia.
Meanwhile,
a total of 60 trainees from the Stella Beauty Salon and Spa graduated
in their respective beauty therapy and hairstyle courses yesterday.
Salon
manager Stella Matuya said the trainees were dedicated in their
training and she hoped they would continue to improve their knowledge
following their graduation. She added that two of the trainees had
already started their own hair salon in Kota Marudu, one in Papar, one
in Beaufort and one in Kota Belud.
“And one of the trainees has also begun her business from home,” she said.
She said most of the trainees were keen on starting an enterprise on their own but were cash strapped.
P/S: No matter how much your salary don't forget to save money for your own future.

Hope that the unemployment rate in the state will reduce after this.

kita jgnlah terlalu memilih kerja, sikap memilih yang membuatkan ramai yang menganggur.
ReplyDeletesebaiknya ceburilah bidang keusahawan, biar kita yang mewujudkan peluang pekerjaan.
ReplyDeleteWhere there's a will, there's a way. Whether you willing to do it or not. If you being too choosy, it's your loss.
ReplyDeleteBe smart. Besides equip yourself with knowledge, it is an advantages if you have the skills too.
ReplyDeletesikap terlalu memilih kerja menyebabkan banyak pengangguran yang berlaku.
ReplyDeletemereka yang masih belum mendapat pekerjaan, teruskan berusaha dan buang sikap terlalu memilih.
ReplyDeletewhatever job is it, just take it. Sure you will not like the job but its the experience u want.
ReplyDeleteYes, there are jobs in Sabah or Malaysia. The youth should try to find jobs and not wait for the government to provide. Also remember to pay the PTPTN since they have managed to get the loan and completed the studies. The government wants to train or educate more youth in the long run.
ReplyDeleteBe responsible and accountable.
lets hope that in 2012 there be a huge reduction in unemployment rate.
ReplyDeletefresh graduate need to think about experience first instead of salary..
ReplyDeleteif there is no job opportunities in Sabah, how could so many foreign workers in this state? the state and federal govt has provided many job opportunities by organizing 'expo kerjaya' around Sabah and also give Sabahan youths opportunity to develop they skill and knowledge through training center..
ReplyDeleteCarilah kerja tanpa memilih sangat.
ReplyDeleteTry to explore more experience before chosen to go higher level and better income.
ReplyDelete"She said most of the trainees were keen on starting an enterprise on their own but were cash strapped."
ReplyDeleteIt is not necessary to be too choosy when it comes to getting employed. Thus, I suggest the youths should shift their selecting attitude otherwise the rate of unemployment in Sabah would either remain the same or get even worse.
ReplyDeleteWe do have definite predilection when it comes to getting a job, but we must understand that job employments are based on other criteria that best suits the job description.
ReplyDeleteI will leave these to the youths “we cannot always get what we want”…let us all learn how to compromise.
ReplyDeleteThere should be room for initiating skill practices as this can lead to lucrative and highly potential careers and businesses in the near future.
ReplyDeleteEmployers who enumerated their untaken positions should be properly vetted as suggested.
ReplyDeleteThe youth know what they want. Let see whether this group make good choice.
ReplyDeleteHarus bermula dari basic dan mencungkir pengalaman sedikit demi sedikit.
ReplyDeleteGolongan muda harus harus menyertai program untuk mempelajari kemahiran agar mendapat pekerjaan yang lebih baik.
ReplyDeleteKempen-kempen membasmi pengangguran seharusnya mendapat kesan. Ini juga memerlukan usaha semua pihak.
ReplyDeleteAlways a start. Lets hope the youth begin someway then slowly go up.
ReplyDeleteThe present youth generation should be humble and start from the bottom and climb up in the job. They should take the opportunity not just looking at the pay, but rather look into the experience that they will gain from the work place as well.
ReplyDeleteThe present youth too should get out of their comfort zone and venture out to seek opportunity abroad.
