14 food items will be placed under the Price Control Scheme for
a week beginning May 25 in Sabah and Labuan for the Kaamatan or Harvest
Festival.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said that during the period, traders
would be required to display pink price tags for the affected food items
and to not sell them above the ceiling price.
The price control
scheme would be enforced in 25 districts in Sabah and Labuan, he told
reporters after launching the state-level Consumers Squad in Penampang
near here today.
The food items include live chicken (RM6.60 per
kg), standard chicken (RM9.60 per kg), chicken wings (RM9.50 to RM10.50
per kg), Grade A chicken egg (40 sen each) and local beef (RM18 per kg).

ReplyDeletekita sangat perlukan tindakan seperti ini setiap kali menjelang perayaan.. ramai peniaga2 waktu ini yang biasanya akan ambil kesempatan dengan alasan stok habis..
ReplyDeleteorang awam atau pengguna perlu berani membuat aduan jika ada mana2 peniaga yang sengaja menaikkan harga barang kawalan samada ketika waktu perayaan mahupun selepas perayaan..
