DCM cum Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Datuk Haji Yahya Hussin, ministry main focus for next year will be to empower the structural support involved in the production of food, especially rice.
Ministry has been allocated with a total of RM132m in the next year fiscal year out of which RM40.78m will be set aside for the Agriculture Department. Ministry would focus more towards improving the agricultural sector by empowering its structural support involved in food production. Ministry also will place more emphasis on the production of rice.
The assurance by the Government that the supply of rice is sufficient, that doesn't mean we are in a comfort zone. Government can't forecast what will happen in future. May be a food crisis or any crisis can happen.
Hope the ministry project will success. This is a good news for food production industry, hope more locals (from bottom to top) will involve the project.

ReplyDeletebanyak sawah2 padi terbiar yang saya lihat di sepanjang jalan seperti di Tuaran dan Kota Belud yang tidak diusahakan. mungkin di kawasan2 lain pun terdapat keadaan seperti ini. Rasanya kalau semua sawah padi ini diusahakan, rakyat tidak akan menghadapi kekurangan makanan terutama beras. walaupun mungkin bukan untuk bekalan seluruh rakyat tapi sekurang2nya dapat menampung keperluan keluarga sendiri.
