The GTP Roadmap 2.0 will focus on education and improving public perception in the area of Anti-Corruption.

NKRA Monitoring and Coordination Division (Corruption) director Datuk Hisham Nordin said that the elements of education and public perception are essential to the success of the Fighting Corruption NKRA.

“We are going to emulate the successful implementation by countries like Hong Kong and others who have placed emphasis on education and gaining the people’s support.

“In an effort to prevent corruption, the people’s support is a key element as it helps to create higher awareness amongst the people in the process,” he said.

Hisham shared that besides awareness, education and substantial knowledge on corruption incidences are also crucial.

“We are also planning to focus on Parliamentarians’ on the matters of ethics and moral values.

The plan includes providing special courses for parliamentarians and politicians in an effort to build a more transparent image and also change the people’s perception.
