Some 75 English teachers from the lower primary schools in Sabah will be
given a one-day workshop on the teaching of Language Arts, here on July
3.
The workshop is fully sponsored by Brighton Education Group, he said in a statement, here Sunday.
Jarrett said 12 specialist English lecturers from the Brighton Education Group and the Institute of Teachers Education, Gaya Campus would hold workshops on topics such as Literature and Language Arts, Teaching Speaking Using Drama, Heroes and Villains and Storytelling, Poetry and Team Teaching, Having Fun with Phonological Awareness and Enhancing Phonics with Literature.
In the year 2011, the Standards-Based Syllabus (KSSR) was introduced to replace the New Syllabus for Primary School (KBSR).
