About 48%of internet users in the country are women, which
shows that they are not left out from the information and communication
technology (ICT) mainstream, said Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr
Yee Moh Chai. He said the statistics showed that opportunities in the ICT sector were
not only limited to the men "because women too could raise their
socio-economic standard with the internet access provided whether in the
urban or rural areas".
