PAPAR: The performance report cards of the State and Federal Governments in the form of the Barisan Nasional (BN) “Aku Janji” manifesto is proof that Malaysia and Sabah are on the right track.Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said the BN’s excellent administration had been
proven through its track record.
“We are standing on solid ground unlike the opposition, which is making impossible promises just to fool the people into supporting them,” he said at the meet-the-people session in Kampung Benoni here yesterday.
He said that thousands of people who flocked to attend the functions officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak recently was a testimony of the people’s confidence that BN is the best choice for them.
“The people of Sabah know how to assess which one is the best for them. They can see BN has a good leader like the Prime Minister where in the past four years so many programmes have been introduced for the people, such as BR1M 1 and BR1M 2.
“Unlike the opposition who only know how to lie … so the people must not be trapped into believing the opposition’s lies,” he said.
Musa, who is also Sabah BN chief, said the opposition had created chaos through the Bersih street demonstrations, which caused hardship to the people and hurt the economy.
“I am sure the people of Sabah know that there is no use to vote for chaos.
“Look at the BN’s ‘Aku Janji’ manifesto, the benefits are for all segments of the people and we are confident that when the Prime Minister makes a promise it will be fulfilled,” he said.
Musa pointed to the promise made by the Selangor Pakatan state government that they would pay a RM250 allowance to single mothers, which after five years nothing was forthcoming, resulting in the single mothers taking it to court.
“This is how the opposition works. We are not telling lies but we dare to say this because we are right… “berani kerana benar takut kerana salah”,” he said.
Towards this end, Musa assured that the request by the people in Benoni for land would be approved through the issuance of Communal Title.
“If this can be done in Tenom, Keningau and Ranau there is no reason that land cannot be given to the people in Benoni,” he said.
He also also be approved is the request for a multi-purpose hall and a healthcare clinic in Benoni.
Musa reminded the people here to come out in full force on May 5 to cast their votes in support of the BN candidates.
