DCM Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan wants better workmanship from contractors responsible for the Kalabakan-Sapulut road contruction. He plans to go on a site inspection to ensure construction is carried out accordingly.
In another matter, he advised restaurant owners in Keningau to maintain the cleanliness of their business premises as well as their food and beverage. He also called on enforcement officers to monitor the cleanliness to attract more tourists to the area. Pairin applauded the 'Persatuan Pengusaha-pengusaha Pelancongan Dalaman Atas Sabah' for their role in working together with the Government to attract more tourists to the interiors of Sabah.
DCM statements during open house in conjunction with CNY at the Tambunan Community Hall :
- The road is important as it connects the locals as well as tourists to the rural areas, it is important for it to completed as soon as possible.
- He also hoped the Government places more attention on developing the interiors.
Hopefully the Kalabakan-Sapulut road construction can immediately complete and safety to use. DCM hopefully can go to the site and see by his own all the construction progress.

ReplyDeleteYes road is progressing well, but lori balak also damaging road very well at same time. Jalan baru, tar masih hitam tapi sudah berombak naik turun macam ombak laut. Terima kasih kpd lori-lori balak yg merosakkan jalan kita. Makin bahaya untuk pandu laju di jln sapulut kalabakan. Merotai-kalabakan pun berlubang sampai tak bole elak lagi di jalan.
