Mayor Datuk Abidin Madingkir statements that responding to a Express Sunday forum letter dated Nov 27, 2011 entitled 'Public Transport Quality, A Blow To KK City Status :
The new KK bus terminal that costing RM8m is currently under construction adjacent to the existing bus terminal near Wawasan Plaza. Funded by the Federal Government under the Public Transportation Fund and expected to be cpmpleted by the end of December 2012.
Sealing the existing bus terminal with high quality asphalt with costing RM2m, would solve the problems of recurring potholes and dust in the terminal. The Central Terminal would connect to the South and North Terminals at Kapayan and Inanam.
Hopefully KK can have a good quality of terminal bus that users feel secure with the facilities and satisfied with the conditions of the terminal.
